Use Social Distancing for Some At-Home Practice

Playing with children while they’re young is not only a great way to bond, it also helps with keeping them active. You may decide to start with something as simple as catch where you can encourage the child to shuffle their feet and the importance of reaching forward to catch.

When it comes time to practice batting, a tee is an easy solution. Have the child take about thirty good swings or so as this will help with improving the child’s swing quality and the speed at which they bat. You may wish to use wiffle balls as these are safer, they won’t travel as far if the child gets a solid hit in, and they can be thrown from a shorter distance.

Remember that you can practice for as little as fifteen minutes a day. Every little bit helps.
