Having the conversation with younger children looking forward to enjoying sports to enjoying some outdoor fun may not be easy but there are ways to make the conversation a little easier while managing the adjustments.

For one, remain positive but be realistic. Using words like “challenging” and “unfair” can help you empathize with younger players. You may also wish to reinforce how each player comprises an essential component in a much larger team. This team is already practicing team building by doing its part in the larger scheme of being triumphant over the virus and ensuring each player stats safe.

We’re hoping that come June, it will be safe to be outdoors again. With that in mind, we’re gearing up to launch the 2020 Summer Baseball and Sports Camp tentatively scheduled to begin on June 8. Boys and girls between the ages of 5 to 13 are welcome to sign up for full or half-day camps that include plenty of baseball fundamentals and other activities like soccer, swimming, and more.
